Trying to visualize imagination was a fun challenge. The model’s personal aesthetic is a combination of creative outlets, bright colors, comfort, and the whimsy of the Christmas season. The goal was to capture a sense of pure wonder - the feeling that Alice has when she first enters Wonderland; the feeling Jack Skellington has when he first lays eyes on Christmas Town. To showcase the moment where imagination meets reality. 

 

The final result perfectly married the aesthetics and concepts that were envisioned. The Christmas lights created a sense of wonderment, while the silhouette of the outfit boosted the whimsical feeling in the fluidity of the skirt and the ruffle on top. Using the model’s face as a focal point helps to center the notion of magic and transcendence, while allowing the exploration of a fantastical realm.
