The Hipster

The Concept
The original concept was a retro but with a modern twist. In the final design and style, I leaned more heavily into a stereotypical hipster with alternative influence. The aesthetic included layering clothes, a pair of glasses, pants, and combat boots. To incorporate a vintage yet modern feel, I chose to use props to create a cohesive environment.
When photographing the Hipster, I ensured that there was a backdrop that felt grounded while complimenting the model's appearance. The goal was to bring forward a sense of the present melded with the antique. While editing, I adjusted the levels of the sepia tone, while also considering the saturation and contrast to achieve the goal of a modern take on a vintage photograph.
